This webinar will take a closer look at the complicated relationship between secretions, inflammation, atelectasis, and the gas exchange impairment they create in any patient with respiratory issues. The presenter will also provide an overview of current techniques and evidence, with a particular focus on Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilation therapy.

After this presentation, participants should be able to:
  • Articulate three major components of impaired gas exchange capacity

  • Understand benefits and limitations of current methods for lung recruitment, secretion clearance, and hyperinflation/air trapping resolution

  • Identify the benefits, mechanism of action and associated evidence and outcomes of IPV Therapy
