Karissa Romine holds a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of North Florida. With over a decade of nursing experience, Karissa spent 8 years at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, playing pivotal roles in their level IV NICU, including two years as an ECMO Specialist on the Neonatal/Pediatric ECMO Team. She actively contributed as a member of the Delivery Team and Small Baby Team, while also serving on the Golden Hour Committee and CLABSI Prevention Committee.
As a passionate advocate for neonatal care, Karissa is a current member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN). Her commitment to advancing the field is evident through her continuing education efforts and dedication to staying up-to-date with the latest best practices. Karissa takes joy in sharing her knowledge and expertise with both new and seasoned nurses.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Karissa resides in Illinois with her fiance and their three dogs. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, going on adventures with her dogs, working out, and exploring new places through travel.
