With over 15 years at Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento, he has served in key leadership roles, currently as Medical Director of Quality and Patient Safety. He has spearheaded initiatives to enhance organizational structure, physician evaluation, and data-driven quality improvements. With a background in biophysics and a passion for research, Dr. Swanson has played a pivotal role in advancing pediatric services, implementing Lean management principles, and fostering multi-stakeholder collaborations to improve patient care. His leadership extends beyond the hospital, serving on various boards and contributing to global healthcare initiatives.
